Social entrepreneurship is the work of a social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture to make change. A social entrepreneur assesses success in terms of the impact he or she has made on society as well as in profit and return.

This is a must attend event for anyone considering themselves someone concerned, involved or aiming to engage in social projects or social entrepreneurship in its wider frame. We will be hosting Nick Temple, Director of Policy and Communication at School for social entrepreneurs, we first heard Nick at Skoll:emerge at Oxford University where his detail and industry knowledge left seminar attendees frantically taking notes, still quite young, Nick has already contributed to text on social entrepreneurship and is beginning to attract respect from leading social entrepreneurship bodies and profiles.

Our second speaker is Rhiannon Horsley, Rhiannon is the Head of Development Manager for HE Social Entrepreneur Awards at Unltd, the leading charity in support and funding for young social entrepreneurs and prodigies. Rhiannon is another young rising profile emerging within the Unltd camp and will be serving attendees an insightful interactive session and announcing the Unltd’s new funding award available every month – really, you don’t want to miss it.
